An accident on the set of Deadpool 2 has resulted in a death of a stunt person according to Vancouver Police.

The accident occurred just after 8 a.m. on Monday.

According to witnesses, the woman was filming a stunt when she lost control of her bike, jumped a curb and crashed into a building.

The rider successfully completed the stunt four times. However, during the fifth time, the throttle somehow engaged and that’s when the rider lost control of the bike.

She was treated by ambulance personnel but police say she died at the scene.

Her name has not been released.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds expressed his condolences to his crew member’s family and friends.

Director David Leitch also released a statement: “I’m deeply saddened by the loss of one of our stunt performers today. No words can express how I and the rest of the Deadpool 2 crew feel about this tragedy. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones in this difficult time.”
