There’s a sexy new superfood in town.

Swiss cheese is now on the growing list of confections considered to be “super” in the health food world.

Kale, avocados, olive oil and goji berries are just a few of the more well-known superfoods but aren’t always the most appetizing.

Researchers at Korea University have discovered that Swiss Cheese has unique properties that might give you an excuse to take an extra bite.

According to the paper, a probiotic called propionibacterium freudenreichii has the ability to increase your life span and it’s only found in Swiss.

After testing out the probiotic on worms, researchers were also able to find out that propionibacterium freudenreichii is also great for building up your immune system and decreasing inflammation.

Just don’t go overboard, cheese still contains saturated fats that can have a not so super effect on your health if you eat too.
