If we work backwards and think about how habits are formed, it is a very complex psychological process. There is a quote out there that no one, in particular, has been credited for but has been said in so many words by a few individuals, and it goes like this: “Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character.”

Whatever accomplishment we want to achieve come from our actions exhibited in a 24-hour day. All huge accomplishments derive from strong daily habits and in order to move in the right direction, it is important to build strong daily disciplines that will become our habits.

  1. Dedicate 30 mins to learning each day

Imagine what your life will look like a month, six months and a year from now if we spend just 30  min of your day acquiring new knowledge. That will amount to 15 hours of learning per month or 200 hours of learning per year. How much wiser would we be if we built a habit of dedicated an uninterrupted half an hour of the day for learning? Whether that is through educational videos, reading, seminars or any other way that will allow for acquiring new knowledge.

  1. Dedicate 30 mins per day to exercise

In order for us to grow and prosper we need our physical health to be strong and dedicating 30 mins per day to exercise will allow not only for a healthier physique but also a clearer mind, less stress and a  better sense of confidence. Let’s picture ourselves a year from now, having exercised every day for 30 minutes.

  1. Eliminate all excuses

This is a hard one to develop because it requires consistent attention. It is really about taking responsibility for every aspect of your life and always looking in the mirror first. It is about taking control, not blaming others and really looking inwards for solutions to all our problems.
