An accident on the set of Deadpool 2 has resulted in a death of a stunt person according to Vancouver Police.
The accident occurred just after 8 a.m. on Monday.
According to witnesses, the woman was filming a stunt when she lost control of her bike, jumped a curb and crashed into a building.
The rider successfully completed the stunt four times. However, during the fifth time, the throttle somehow engaged and that’s when the rider lost control of the bike.
She was treated by ambulance personnel but police say she died at the scene.
Her name has not been released.

Director David Leitch also released a statement: “I’m deeply saddened by the loss of one of our stunt performers today. No words can express how I and the rest of the Deadpool 2 crew feel about this tragedy. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones in this difficult time.”

Deadpool 2, the sequel to the 2016 Marvel Comics blockbuster from 20th Century Fox starring Ryan Reynolds, has been shooting in Vancouver since June 26. The film crew closed down downtown Vancouver streets last week to film sequences involving motorcycles and scooters.
